Description

The topics to cover (approx):
  • Model characteristics (initial or steady-state; RNG used; time of simulation; number of nodes; topology; routing proto; flat or hierarchical; and so on).
  • What is explored (PMIPv6 protocol and its use in wireless scenario --- offload from one MAG to the other without user noticing it).
  • Results presented: bandwidth graphs, what else (?)

Perhaps I would change model to use UDP, as this would produce a more concise trace, easier to analyze.

  • the ns-2 simulator.

News:
  • Model correction postponed to next week --- was busy doing protocol and presentation for the master-class.
  • In ns-2.29 model with hierarchical addressing, both TCP and UDP seem to work. This narrows down our search to 802.11 MAC layer implementation in ns-2.33, because AODV in both packages is same.
