We can participate in its testing/maintainanace.
I've answered that I can work on it.
Would anyone join me there?

What's prerequisites here? And what does support mean?

Prerequisites for testing: ability to 1) compile and 2) test kernel on n8x0.
Simplest possible activity is finding when things break. Reporting or fixing it.
Then there are activities to add support for n8x0-specific hardware.
We may monitor these activities/participate in implementation/testing.
If we do so, we will be able to fix bugs should they be reported later.
